Useful ways to reuse produce nets
Produce net bag upcycles, what’s your favorite? Find even more on my blog sustainablyamber dot com. Ultimately I wish produce nets didn’t exist. They are rarely easy to recycle and will eventually end up in the trash. Best we make them into something before they end up in the trash! I acquired most of these mesh bags a few years back when grocery shopping was limited. Today I shop in bulk and utilize my reusable produce bags (which you can also upcycle). However everyone’s sustainable journey looks different and I understand if these produce nets are the only choice where you live. Or if you purchase on sale, thus saving food from the landfill! Now you have some ideas on how to upcycle those nets. Happy reusing 😊

Turning Crisp Packets into a Tent
Last month we wanted to take on a new recycling challenge - building a fully functioning tent out of crisp packets. And there's no point in just making a tent without testing it properly, so we took our crispy creation out to Dartmoor for some wild camping, with one of us sleeping in a standard tent and the other in our DIY version. There's a full video over on our channel if you want to see how it all went, but spoiler alert - it was rocky, windy and rainy. ⛰️🌧️
