homemade Bao buns 🤤
Ingredients • 180g plain flour • 1 tsp instant yeast • 1/2 cup warm water • Pinch salt • 1/2 tsp oil 1 small carrot • 1 onion • 8 @meatlessfarm plant based meatballs • A handful of mushrooms • 1 tbsp soy sauce • 1 tsp sesame oil • 1/2 tsp garlic powder • 1/2 tsp maple syrup Dash of oil • 2 x 1/4 cup water Grate the carrot, onion and mushrooms. Add them to a frying pan along with the ‘meatballs’. Use a fork to mash them up in the pan. Start to cook everything in the sesame oil, over medium heat. Cook for around 20 mins, then add all seasonings and remove from the heat. Place in the fridge whilst prepping the buns Mix together the plain flour, yeast and pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. Add in the oil and warm water, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a clean, dry
