Happy Earth Day
Sustainability an area where we must be a story-doer not a storyteller. Below are some of our sustainability impacts in 2023: • 69,698 kilograms of vegetables were produced and served in restaurants • 120,154 organic eggs contributed from happy Six Senses hens • 133,873 kilograms of compost was produced to enrich the soil • 1,920,659 plastic bottles avoided by refilling our own drinking water • 47.87 liters of honey produced • 1,711,531.89 kwh of renewable energy generated Within the world of hospitality, we believe we have created a niche by putting sustainability and well-being at the heart of what luxury means for us. #EarthDay #HappyEarthDay 💜🌍

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay discovers 200 year old tree
We are delighted to celebrate our 200-year-old cycad trees at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay - which are on the IUCN Red List of Endangered and Rare Forest Plants as Certified Vietnamese Heritage Trees by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment. Together with GreenViet (an organization for biodiversity and wildlife conversation in Vietnam), we identified more than 100 cycad trees distributed across the area, among which nine over 100 years old have been certified as Heritage Trees. The oldest – 200 years – is located in the heart of the resort near the Crystal Water Plant. We hope that Six Senses Ninh Van Bay continues to be a biologically diverse ecosystem that creates a perfect natural habitat not only for cycad trees but also for other flora and fauna to thrive in.
Organic Garden
Join us on a journey of sustainability with @_spicymoustache_ starting with Six Senses Samui Farm on the Hill, which minimizes environmental footprint by converting waste into wealth from compost to charcoal. Each Six Senses has an organic garden, which provides the resort’s kitchens with fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits as well as a range of ingredients for our spas, with 56,298 kilograms of organic vegetables produced and served in their restaurants. #SimplySixSenses #EatWithSixSenses

Plastic Free Month
This July, we’re embracing Plastic Free Month by celebrating our core sustainability wins that, over the years, have formed part of our ongoing journey towards Plastic Freedom. We’re approaching Plastic Free July in the same way as we look after our guests, through our three pillars of sustainability, wellness, and crafted experiences. When you stay at a Six Senses property, you’re already contributing to sustainability funds that benefit the local environment.
