The walls of room interiors at Six Senses Rome are plastered using Cocciopesto, a traditional material from ancient Roman times without plastic or industrial chemicals. The floors of the wet area and solarium are made of Cipollino marble chips. This material is obtained by combining the remains of larger cuts of marble with cement and natural oxides. Travertine, the local stone of Rome, becomes an important design element and fil rouge in all areas, it was employed in all the bedrooms with opus incertum blocks, which allows to use different sizes and, in turn, reduces wasted material. #SimplySixSenses
