Audi quattro ® The Audi quattro® with permanent all-wheel drive, shown by Audi for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980. Transfer of the all-wheel drive principle from an off-road vehicle to a sports saloon called above all for dynamic refinement to be improved. This was achieved by the ingenious hollow-shaft design of the central differential, which distributed engine power between the front and rear axles.
