1940's snapshot of Lou Jacobs. Clown for Ringling Bros.

1940s snapshot of Lou Jacobs. Lou is possibly the most famous clown that ever lived. He toured with Ringling Bros for decades, and became their signature clown. At age 63, in 1966, Lou, in makeup, appeared on a circus-theme US postage stamp. To my knowledge, he was the first still-living person to appear on a US stamp.
