If you don't want it get more rust in future it is advised to rub in some oil or wax once a year. Please keep in mind that steel surface that was covered with oil or wax gets darker look. Recommended for inside use only, office, home office etc. It should not sustain a prolonged soaking in any liquid. We would not recommend putting it next to a sink or bathtub etc. SHIPPING • We produce and ship our product from Ukraine. BLACKSMITHING • Due to the nature of hand forging, the texture of individual pieces vary slightly. It does not affect in any way the strength and quality of the item. • Due to the nature of the natural iron steel even being varnished it contains a tiny amount of water molecules. This means that after a while the item can become a bit darker and get a very slight brown tone. When the product is delivered by air shipping method, this process can speed up. It is normal for traditionally forged steel items and our shop does not consider it as a defect since it does not influence the strength and quality of the items. • Recommended for inside use only.
