New work
Whoop what a week! In fact what a summer. I have been busy creating a new collection of 16 paintings for an exhibition in October and this week I finished that collection. I also finished another chapter of my book and sent it to the publisher so I am a happy happy bunny! Treated myself to a couple of long walks this week to and from the studio and so enjoyed being out in the glorious sunshine and exploring again. Looking forward to getting back in the studio next week to start a new project and maybe play with a bit of painting for myself. But for now it’s feet up and a bottle of wine. Dry snap of morning
November is jammed packed with workshops and finishing off my teaching for the year. So lots of long weeks with no weekends but on the plus side getting to meet new people as well as seeing familiar faces returning to work with me. November is also about writing the final chapters of my book and selecting the paintings to be included. There’s still a long way to go with it but I am enjoying trawling through my catalogue of work. Paula Dunn Artist on Instagram: "I’ve spent the last week sailing around the small isles with a group of 8 others. The aim for me was to get out to some remote places which are not normally accessible other than by boat and to get some inspiration for future paintings and trips. It was quite the adventure living in such a confined space with 8 strangers and there were a few “lumpy” days with what felt like BIG waves and resulted in queezy bellies. The boat developed a technical fault which meant we didn’t end up doing as much as we could but lots of inspiration captured and ideas for return trips… maybe will stick to the ferries from now on though 🫢#inspiration #artistadventure"
