Über das Objekt: Gundula Sommerers asymmetrische pech-schwarzen Flügelvasen „stehen für sich“. Die in Aufbautechnik handgefertigten Objekte sind Unikate und bei Größen von bis zu 50cm Breite äußerst markant in ihrem Erscheinungsbild, bei sehr hohen Wiedererkennungswert. Durch den Einsatz des Raku-Verfahrens beim Brennen der Objekte entsteht Kohlenstoff, der in die Poren der Vase eindringt und die Stücke dauerhaft tiefschwarz färbt.
