Not sure about you but this is my ideal kind of Field Trip. Every collection features a @porsche with something about the collection’s theme on the roof. This time, we’re going camping. My first attempt at making the background of the artwork wasn’t a success. It was a single green colour that just didn’t have the vibe of a field. That’s when I decided to use multiple shades of green that fade from dark to light. There were many choices of Porsches and a broad variety of things to paint o...
‘Feeling blue’ It’s a real feeling and it’s a feeling I have been feeling far too many times lately. Stay calm, take a deep breath in and keep going. That’s the advice I was given when feeling that way. It helps, I can confirm 💙 ‘Feeling blue’ Acrylic polymer on aluminium. 18 x 30cm 📸 @bobby_hendry @idlewildcreative.co This artwork is part of my current collection ‘WET’ which will be released early next year. Feel free to join my mailing list via my website to find out when artworks an...
There are some artworks I make that just tickle my fancy. For some reason it’s usually the ones that first seem to be problematic children but reveal themselves to be the favourites in the house. This piece in particular holds a special place in my collection, whether by its elegant ombre of Tiffany blues, the sharp detail on the divers or plain and simply because I enjoyed making it. I had many names for this piece, just like every father has many names for their children but if it wasn’t...
‘A Bug’s Life’ This was the first artwork I made this year for my current collection ‘Forbidden Grass’. The background was initially painted as part of a short film with @kingliving and afterwards I wasn’t quite sure what figures to add to it. That’s when it hit. A collection that celebrates our tiny lives in this big green world needs an artwork that has those exact elements. Tiny people, big green painting. I’m used to painting in a small scale but this time I went extra small. These peo...
Normally I have a pretty good idea of what I want to paint on my artworks but this time I was clueless. I created the background using two different shades of green in two different styles; the first being very dynamic and full of random strokes and the second green was simply straight. It looked like a football field but I wasn’t 100% set on painting more football players so I went for something closer to home: rugby. I wanted to paint one player from the three nations in which rugby is b...

Size matters… That’s why I decided to make my largest artwork last year when I painted ‘Snowflakes’. Working on a piece that is bigger than I am required a lot of paint; 10 litres to be exact. It also required a lot of patience to paint each of the 61 figures but the result was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to make another painting this size. Perhaps even bigger! Guess you’ll just have to wait and see what I’m working on 🤷🏼‍♂️ ‘Snowflakes’ (2023) Acrylic Gel and acrylic on canvas ...
Original ski artwork. Canvas painting. Texture art. Mountain art. White pictures decor. Skiing
Ladies and gentlemen, relax your eyes. These are not the original artworks. These are actually just prints. That’s right. It’s a Gicleé print on Hahnemuhle Daguerre Canvas that was stretched and then framed in Tasmanian Oak. That means this is a replica of my original artwork and there will only be 42 available for each of these three artworks you see. In the first four slides is the Formula One fan favourite. ‘Silverstoned’ which is 100 x 100cm in size. The same for the replica of ‘Good ...
Centre of Attention My first tennis artwork ‘Rothcourt’ was merely a warmup for what was to be an artwork inspired by the grass court of Wimbledon. My grandmother loved watching tennis and I recall sitting next to her on her leather couch watching Wimbledon every year. Seeing Sharapova, Williams, Djokovic and Federer play was always a highlight. They were her favourite players and therefore automatically mine as well. If you look closely, the ball is at its peak, waiting to fall back for S...
Rothko is in the court 🎾 This past holiday we went to Paris to see the Mark Rothko exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. Finally seeing all his work in person was phenomenal and I was trying to figure out what his abstract artworks could look like if they were representations of the real world. 🗼 The best I could come up with was a tennis court. The only thing was that none of his artworks were purely green and they definitely did not have tennis players on them… so I made this one. 🎾...
This was really just a warmup If you look closely you’ll see that these figures aren’t nearly as detailed as they normally would be. As part of my research for a collaboration with @wimbledon I painted a moment from a match between Federer and Djokovic from years ago. This was purely meant as a practise run, a warmup of sorts. Despite having painted hundreds of tiny people, I still need to warm up before I work on big projects. Small paintings like this one often act as an experiment to g...
