Teach your inner voice some manners!
By detaching your sense of self from the voice that feels like being the presenter of the show called “your life” you give it less power. That is as simple as it sounds, although - as the inner critical (or even mean) voice fears for its job which I’m pretty sure you never gave it on purpose! - it might take some time (and practice!) to go from criticizing to supporting. The solution is not to give the nagging inner voice the boot but to give it the chance to become the supportive voice itself.
How to become your own best friend!
In my newest blog article I tell you about my own experiences with the (mean) inner voice and how I managed to transform it from nagging at me to cheering me on. Thanks to that, I'm happy today about who I am and how I look. I share with you a simple hands-on exercise that helped me tremendously so that you can turn the nasty and mean voice in your head into your own best friend that empowers and supports you too! How I started to get up at 4.44 am
I was spending time with ME and sat in the quiet japanese park admiring these stone statues (a poster of my favorite is in my office) for hours. Suddenly it seemed like my favorite Ojizo whispered to me, "Go yukkuri tanoshinde, susunde kudasai!" Meaning, "Go forward leisurely and enjoy your journey." This was the start to create a joyful morning magic that changed everything. Read the whole story about how I started to get up at 4.44 am and what changed for me since then on my blog.

Happy and joyful summer memories
My highlight of the hippie festival is my yodeling course in the morning. Our teacher is so much fun, an Austrian lady who lives in Berlin and knows Swiss yodeling inside out. Last year I was in her course too and met my yodeling besties who I yodeled weekly in Zurich since then.
All of my life I wanted to become a primary school teacher
I remember playing school when I was four, telling my mom that I’ll write the number ONE on her “reports” instead of the check-mark, because I didn’t know how to draw that. Her face lit up with a wide smile and she kindly told me that she can show me how to draw a ✔. I felt so accomplished. When my friend, a young primary teacher, asked me if I wanted to accompany them on their school trip when I was 16 I was thrilled. That would be the perfect experience for me to learn more about my dream job
What little moment makes you smile and fills your heart with joy?
Let‘s create more of these joyful memories now. What beautiful (little) thing could you do today to create a memorable happy moment? Walking barefoot in a creek? Baking the cake your grandmother always made? Building a blanket-fort in your living room (with or without kids involved)? Read about some of my most wonderful childhood memories in my blog.
I‘m made in America : ) actually made in Iowa City
My mother told my father in 1975 after they got married that she wanted to go to Iowa city sometime because her beloved Swiss Godfather was living there. My father had the biggest grin on his face when he happily answered: „Well, that is perfect, because I want to work there in the Hydrologic Research lab.“ Off they went on their fun American adventures. My mother, a former primary school teacher, continued her music studies with her flute and my daddy went all in at the lab.
Do you find it hard to reach your goals?
Sometimes the journey to reach our goals seems endless and we can't see the end, but actually if we just put step-by-step one foot in front of another, we can reach that summit sooner than we think and then have this wonderful feeling of being on top of the world and having the big view and big insights where we want to go and what’s next. This mindset helps you enjoy your journey more and to experience ease and lightness while you're underway.
Embrace your feelings to prevent them from overwhelming you
Do you feel like you often have to pull yourself together and that it would be shameful to show your true feelings in front of other people or even yourself? If you want to learn how you can accept your feelings so that they neither overwhelm nor strain you, head over to my newest blog article where I’ll teach you one of my favorite exercises.
