Ingolf Wunder review – 'Serious muscular music-making'
LONDON Mar. 2014 - ...Wunder seems a fearless player, with a totally secure technique that he never flaunts unnecessarily, and the musical intelligence to put it to good use. ... It was difficult to imagine that the pianist who could float a line so exquisitely in Chopin could make Beethoven's variations so earthily direct and physical...or generate as much dramatic excitement in the Liszt, while ensuring that every section of the Sonata was clear within its overall scheme...A wonderful recital.

WAIDHOFEN Mar. 2014 - "Passion and elegance". His musical feeling is astonishing, his interpretation is thought through and polished down to the last detail ... His brilliant technique, the playful lightness and fluency as well as the elegant interpretation always in style were fascinating ... It was the highest art of piano playing in a romantic shape without ever being kitschy ... Superb manual abilities and highly tense, perfectly balanced intensity of his musical language. ...

WETZIKON Feb. 2014 - [...] He shaped the attitude of the Ballades (NB: four Ballades by Chopin) lively and with sensible sound, gave each episode enough space and generated delightful phrases with nifty Rubati.

COLOGNE Jan. 2014 - [...] With the Beethoven Piano-Concerto (NB: 5th Concerto) accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic under Michel Tabachnik he presented himself as a master of sparkling cascades, effortlessly placed martellato-octaves and especially in the second movement of deep, fulfilling, poetic cantabiles.
DUSSELDORF Nov. 2013 - A Thomas Mann at the piano. [...] The young Austrian pianist Ingolf Wunder who visited the Tonhalle, is able to profoundly narrate works by both, Ludwig van Beethoven and Frédéric Chopin. He succeeded in a particularly impressive fashion with the bulkiest piece of the evening, Beethoven's Eroica Variations. [...]

BUENOS AIRES Sept. 2013 - [...] To play with words, Wunder is a wonder. Born in 1985, he is certainly a bright light among young pianists: impressive command of dynamics from ppp to fff, extremely agile and fast fingers, good taste and stylistic sense. [...]

Un nombre para recordar
BUENOS AIRES Sept. 2013 - [...]
