a welcome sign made out of pallet wood

DIY project made from pallet wood. The "O" is interchangeable. Replace with a heart for Valentine's Day, or a mini wreath for Christmas, etc. The main board is a piece of wood I had laying around that measures roughly 1/2" thick, 5" wide and 60" tall & the individual pieces are 3.5" wide pallet boards cut down to 10" long and wood glued to the main board after being stained. I know the C is upside down (my mistake) but nobody notices and I'm ok with that.

some signs that are on the side of a building with words painted on them and in different colors

I mentioned the other day in my kitchen before and after post that I never did get around to doing much decor in that room, but that I felt like it was probably better to leave the counters open and clear anyway. I just enjoy having a kitchen that functions well and feels easy to work in more than anything else. The one exception to the no-unnecessary-decor rule could be a fun DIY painted sign and it's something that I started thinking about almost right away after I hit publish on that post…

someone is painting the letters on wood

Over the years, I've used a variety of methods to transfer graphics and fonts onto furniture and other surfaces. In my opinion, this transfer method is the easiest. Not only is it basic and straight forward, it also requires NO special equipment or products! So lets start with a how-to on this Main St. Wood Sign!
