The red, white and blue quilt was made in Saco, Maine, perhaps to be sent to a soldier's aid society. You don't really see the beauty of this c. 1930 quilt until you capture it with a photo. I think it sparkles with the light and dark fabric. Feedsack like, not a feedsack expert. Not a four patch or nine patch. Just random two inch squares. It is a very utilitarian quilt. Don't think I have ever seen this straight line quilting before. Looks like maybe they used a yardstick and drew lines on the back. Needs a day at the spa. But otherwise in pretty good shape.
