We embarked on a fun and educational experiment with paper boats. Our first boat floated peacefully in a tray of water but didn’t move. Then, we added a bit of dish soap to the second boat using a Q-tip, and voilà—it started to sail across the water! 🧼✨

But why did this happen? Here’s the science behind it: Water has a property called surface tension, which acts like a skin on the surface of the water, holding things in place. When we added dish soap, it disrupted the surface tension, causing the water molecules to spread out and push the boat forward.

This simple experiment is a wonderful way to introduce kids to the wonders of science and the magic of everyday che Boat Theme, Paper Boats, Surface Tension, Paper Boat, Sailing Boat, Q Tip, Science Experiment, Creative Learning, Power Boats
