Health DIY - Natural Remedies on Instagram: "Do you experience shoulder blade pain that just won’t go away? Great post by @drjoedamiani for more! 🙏 You’ve tried stretching it, massaging it and fixing your posture but it keeps coming back? Plus you get headaches and it seems like it’s all connected? (Well you’re probably right!) You see when we have improper shoulder blade function, the muscles that connect it to the spine have to overwork and those muscles tug on the neck which can cause headaches! PLUS, if your upper back and rib head joint are stiff… then the muscles (rhomboids, levant scapulae and upper trapezius have to work even more). SO to fix the situation we have to: 1.) Release the muscles to put them in a more healthy state. 2.) People often hold their tension here or from repetitive use from their jobs or workouts. This is a nice self massage that can be done daily. Lauren Ohayon | Core + Pelvic Floor on Instagram: "Ohhhh I love a good back crack but do not love anyone else touching and manipulating my spine. So I figured out a way to crack my upper back. I mean - really, it is just an AMAZING upper spine / thoracic mobility exercise. And because it is SO good, the back cracks. Rotation, flexion, extension and side bending. All the nutrients for a well mobilized upper back. What a lot of people do not realize is that tense and tight shoulders can really impact your #pelvicfloor and low back. 💡 A lot of pressure from above creates a cascade of pressure down below. Once way to remove the pressure below is to create space above. Hence my recommendation to ensure your upper body is getting a lot of mobility if you have #prolpase #hypertonicpelvic Thoracic Rotation Exercises, Upper Back Stretches Bad Posture, How To Pop Upper Back, Upper Back Cracking Techniques, How To Pop Your Upper Back Yourself, Pop Upper Back, Yoga Upper Back, Back Cracking Techniques, Lauren Ohayon

Dr. Adam McCluskey PT, DPT on Instagram: "❌This small muscle could be causing your neck and shoulder pain! (Full Program @theptinitiative Bio Link)
—
There is a small muscle that connects the shoulder blade to the neck, and can be really problematic if it gets overactive and tight.
—
It’s called the Levator Scapulae and it is a common source of neck pain and shoulder blade movement problems.
—
This muscle helps you elevate your shoulder blade, and bend your neck to the side, but can limit your ability to lift your arm overhead optimally if it’s restricted.
—
To begin fixing this issue I recommend doing this active Levator Scapulae release technique with a lacrosse ball to decrease the tonicity and tightness of this muscle.
—
Then we need to actively reinforce this new position by training Pulled Neck Muscle, Scapula Pain, Shoulder Blade Muscles, Neck Muscle Pain, Levator Scapulae, Neck Spasms, Muscles Of The Neck, Neck Muscles, Muscle Imbalance
