This beautiful mahogany 7-string lyre harp is tuned to a pentatonic scale that covers a little over one octave, from D to E. It could also be tuned to any other 7 notes in a similar range. The simple pentatonic scale makes it easy to play pretty melodies, but for a wider and more complete scale of notes, choose the 16 string model. The bluets and leaves are hand painted. This beautiful, hollow-bodied mahogany 16-string lyre harp is tuned to a major C scale that covers a little over two octaves. The tuning pegs are labeled for the correct notes. After being inspired by Jenny Adin-Christie's harp, I finished my version of the original harp and posted it to a page to share it with fellow embroiderers. I received some feedback about violating her copyright since I had looked at her kit.
