Fine Motor Skills, strengthens the small muscles in their hands and fingers, which are crucial for writing and other tasks.
Cognitive Development, encourages problem-solving and critical thinking as children experiment with different line types and shapes.

This activity was inspired by @mansiambaliya . * Pre-writing - place coloured dots on a page, ask your child to draw pre-writing lines in the matching colour from one dot to the next. I’ve used a chalk dice to provide some line options. Work on pencil grasp, pencil control, visual spatial awareness, form constancy. * Fine motor challenge - use Cotton tips (Q-tips) and colour in the ends to match your chosen colours. Trace the pre-writing lines but you can’t put down the cotton tips. You can make it even harder by keeping both cotton tips in one hand. Rotate, shift, use intrinsic finger muscles, inhand manipulate, separate the two sides of the hand, stabilise the ulnar side! So many benefits to this a Visual Spatial, Pencil Grasp, Pencil Control, Spatial Awareness, Writing Lines, Pre Writing, Kids Writing, Hands On Activities, The Hand
