A small diminutive Chinese Coromandel and lacquer four fold screen, mid-20th century. Both sides of each leaf with polychrome decorated birds amidst flowering prunus branches and rushes. Superbly drawn composition of well spaced elements on contrasting gold background creates a dramatic effect. The reverse with similar theme but on black ground, on brass capped feet. Measures: Each leaf measures 36"-inches high x 10 1/2"-inches wide, Overall 36"-inches high x 42"-inches wide.
