- compost worms will appear in your compost bin if you collect fallen leaf litter or pull out plants with their roots and add that into your compost, you would have likely also collected some compost worm cocoons which will hatch in your compost.

-Composting worms are sometimes attracted to the lid of your worm farm (and compost bin) by the condensation that forms when organic matter is heating up through microbial activity. Or sometimes just before a major rain event worms naturally migrate higher into your farm to find drier ground. Both of these situations are natural occurrences and nothing to worry about. Your worms should settle down in a day or so.
