Pepsi ran a cheeky Halloween ad that directly referenced to Coke. The ad featured a Pepsi can in a red cape, Wishing Scary Halloween. Of course, Advertising that directly mentions a competitor can be risky, But, One of the Coke fan created their own version of the ad, saying that "Everybody wants to be a hero!" which immediately enjoyed its own explosive viral popularity. 😊 [ Have you noticed what pepsi did to avoid legalities or copyright infringements ? The Rock and Roller Cola War occurred in 1989. It was when soft drinks Coke and Pepsi each ran a marketing campaign. They used rock & roll and popular music stars to interest the young teenage and adult life.

While history classes might teach about The Cold War, the business world may teach about The Cola Wars. The battle for shelf supremacy between Coca-Cola and Pepsi is not necessarily a new concept. Although both brands try to entice a sale with new flavors, creative celebrity partnerships, and a variety of other special offerings, this advertising war is nothing new.
