Double cleansing is a must for me, and I think if you struggle with closed comedones you should endeavour to find a combo that works for you. My go-to oil cleanser for problematic skin is the Ordinary Squalane cleanser. 2. Use a retinoid. Unless you’re pregnant, it’s time to stop faffing around with acids. Once you understand how retinoids work, you’ll see why (IMO) they are inferior for clogged pores. 3. Be consistent - stop getting distracted by new, viral and trending skincare products that will ruin your progress. 4. Invest in a barrier serum. It’s going to be hard to *glow from within* if you don’t keep your barrier in good health. All my fave barrier products, retinoids and double cleansing products are on my blog Skincare For Closed Comedones, Clogged Pores Skincare, Closed Comedones Skin Care, How To Get Rid Of Closed Comedones, Closed Comedones Treatment, Double Cleansing Products, Stop Getting Distracted, Ordinary Squalane, Closed Comedones

Closed comedones are a common problem many people struggle with, and they can negatively impact your complexion and the health and texture of your skin. These tiny bumps are often called whiteheads and is considered a type of acne. They develop when hair follicles become clogged with dead skin cells and sebum. Unfortunately, this means debris are trapped within the follicle, which can make them harder to treat. They also blend into the skin better, making them harder to identify and remove.
