Big Chief Tablet - Maybe 1960's

Here's a Big Chief tablet that might be from the 50's or 60's. It uses what I call the "standard" Big Chief font, that is also used on the Mead Big Chief and Son of Big Chief tablets. However I think this one comes from before the time when Mead held the rights.. and there's no UPC code, either. Wish I could be specific but this is all a big puzzle.

Rememnber Big Chief tablets in elementary school? Big Chief tablet - Western Tablet and Stationery - Ten Cents - 1950's

Here's a really nice vintage Big Chief that I believe dates back to the 1950's.. although it could be an early-60's vintage. This one has a great profile that, to me at least, reminds me a bit of "Iron Eyes Cody". Iron Eyes was actually Italian, though... so I'm probably wrong. This one was produced by Western Tablet & Stationery -- who I believe were the original producers of the Big Chief tablets. Neat-o!
