Create beautiful distressed textures on the gel plate using stencils and wax crayons. Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen loves this technique because of the lovely distressed textures it makes and you can combine as many stencils together as you like. Birgit is using Gelli Arts® stencils. You can find them in our shop at www.GelliArts.com. Letting the first layer dry before adding the next/pick-up layer is crucial. How To Create A Layered Image Transfer Gel Print
Transfer your own or a copyright-free image onto paper using a Gelli® printing plate and acrylic paint. Gelli Arts® artist Michelle Mixed Media let the transferred image dry for a few minutes and then painted over it with colour. Once the colours were dry, she added white paint to print onto paper using the acrylic Gelli Arts® Mini Placement Tool to align the borders for 5”x7” paper.
