Betty Cooke's jewelry reflects the abstract, organic shapes associated with mid twentieth-century modernism. As in this neckpiece, Cooke prefers curvilinear shapes, which demonstrate action and warmth, as opposed to straight lines. Her jewelry typified the Good Design movement, of pure, non-decorative designs. Her philosophy, "Jewelry should be integrated easily and simply with fashion". Neckpiece via Museum of Art and Design.
