Do you host guests often? We LOVE to host guests. I haven’t always had a dedicated guest room, when we lived in Connecticut our family room sofa turned into a guest bed. Now we have rooms designated for guests and sleepovers, but still, always trying to maximize our guest space. No matter the size of your home you can turn any space into a guest space for a short time. Sharing our tips and tricks, including ways everyone can sleep comfortably!

My good friend Mike Bowen has been wanting to upgrade her son Liam’s room. Everything was white and just wasn’t feeling finished. Liam is a senior in High School and all around good kid! We really like Liam, and wanted to help Miko do something fun in his room…something that will last long after his teen years!

I bought my first fluffy duvet when I was 20, and it cost around $300, I saved up for it, I wanted fluffy bedding instead of any pair of name brand shoes or bag. When you buy quality inserts, they last and they are the foundation to every good bed.

When we bought this 1970’s home in Utah back in November 2020, I wasn’t sure we were going to add a second floor. I originally liked the idea of adding faux dormers to give the front a little more curb appeal. We decided to do the second floor addition, which is where the girls bedrooms and bathroom are, they love it!! I linked everything I could at the end of this post!

Cozy Eclectic Guest Room
When we lived in an 1100 sq ft home we needed lots of creative places for guests, we would have anywhere from 2-6 guests at once, wish I had these cots then (the cot is the bed Ella is sitting on). What we did in Finn’s nursery was add a daybed with a trundle, it created a place to hang out, and could be a place for guests. You can really create a space anywhere from a cot, daybed, or trundle.

Cozy Eclectic Girls Room
Lola helped me pick most everything for her room, she basically likes what I like, so it’s easy! The grouping of art over her bed is my favorite part. Lola really loves to swim, my main inspiration for this room was the color blue and the swimmer girl with the inner tube art. Reminds me of Lola so much.🤍
