Getting the right balance between your kick and bass can be challenging because they both play around the same frequency area. Find the frequency of your kick. So if your kick is in F#, then look for that specific frequency in your equalizer. Now you can boost this frequency with a few db on your kick (upper picture). And then duck this same frequency with a few db on your bass (lower picture). This will help to create a better blend between kick and bass
